CFOV — Your Community, Your Foundation: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

After careful consideration, the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Ogden Valley (CFOV) has decided to wind down the Foundation’s operations and bring this chapter of our work to a close. We do so with a deep sense of gratitude and with pride in what we have accomplished together.

When the CFOV was established in 2006, our purpose was to develop, support and preserve nonprofit organizations in the Ogden Valley and bring our community together. Through the generosity of our donors, the dedication of our all-volunteer Board, and the partnership of local businesses and nonprofit leaders throughout our community, we have been able to fulfill that mission in meaningful and lasting ways.

We believe the Foundation has achieved the goals for which it was created. The relationships that have been built, the resources provided, and the people and organizations supported over the past 20 years will continue to have an impact well beyond the CFOV itself. Our nonprofit partners have flourished and now collaborate with one another to leverage their impact on the community. We trust that the people who have been generous donors to CFOV – both in terms of dollars and time – will shift their giving directly to one or more of these deserving organizations.

The Board will now undertake an orderly wind down of the organization. The CFOV intends to celebrate its success with joy on December 9th at what we are calling “The Biggest Give” – a final event where remaining donated dollars will be distributed to the 17 nonprofit partners who will continue to serve the residents of the Ogden Valley for decades to come. We hope the entire Ogden Valley community will join us in recognizing what we have collectively accomplished.

The Board of the CFOV is profoundly thankful to everyone who made this work possible. To the donors and sponsors, thank you for entrusting us with your generosity. To our nonprofit partners, thank you for the work you do every day. To our volunteers and Board members – past and present – thank you for your time, leadership, and belief in the mission. And finally, to the community itself. Your participation and encouragement made this work possible, and your support will continue to help nonprofit organizations in the Ogden Valley thrive.

As we close this chapter, we do so with appreciation for the journey, gratitude for those whose vision created it, and with full confidence in the enduring value of the work that has been accomplished. With the continued support of our beautiful community, the Foundation’s legacy will live on through the people, organizations, and initiatives it has supported.
